WAITS
Women Acting In Today's Society
She Beasts has had the pleasure of collaborating with WAITS on several programs and workshops while providing the ladies with gym kits through our She Cares initiative.
Women Acting In Today Society WAITS goal has been to empower women, to give women a voice. WAITS supports any woman in need, however, we have an added specialism in helping women from Black, Chinese, South Asian and minority backgrounds.
Our 2024 partnership aims to enhance mental health, increase confidence and self-esteem, improve physical and emotional well-being, reduce stress and anxiety, and foster resilience. We want to help trauma survivors feel ready to take the next steps in their lives generously funded by the Heart of England Foundation!
Essence Youth
She Beasts is collaborating with Essence Youth again this summer 2024, we’re teaming up with Essence Youth for an incredible movement session with up to 30 young women.
Essence Youth is all about supporting young individuals in the local Birmingham community and has crafted an exceptional program, and we’re thrilled to be a part of it. Teamwork truly makes the dream work!
She Beasts Housing
She Beasts powerful partnership driving impactful social change. We've teamed up with Registered Social Landlords to address the critical housing needs of the women we support.
Together, we’ve secured approval for 50 units of safe and secure housing, providing a stable and supportive environment for the women in our program. This initiative ensures they have access to the resources and protection needed to thrive.
This marks a significant step forward in our mission to empower and uplift women, offering them not just housing, but a foundation for a better future.
Funding
We are deeply grateful for the support we receive from local funds who recognise the true value of She Beasts' community work.
She Beasts Academy launched in 2024, thanks in large part to the crucial support from Sport England! Our Training Academy empowers women through fitness, offering top-tier programs specifically designed for those aiming to become certified personal trainers.
“Uniting the Movement is Sport England’s ten-year vision to transform lives through sport and activity, and I am pleased to say that through our Active Together Fund we have pledged £4000 to She Beasts so they can grow and continue to uplift the lives of people in Birmingham. We are excited to share that Heart of England Community Foundation has generously funded several of our ongoing and upcoming partnerships!
Their support allows us to deliver our signature She Power Program with WAITS, running until the end of 2024. Additionally, stay tuned for exciting updates about our upcoming project with Urban Heard.
